I woke up today, and had planned to do a workout and read my new book… but there was this small part of me that was thinking about Cosmic Mycelium Oracle.
And so I decided to use the space I had prepared to roll out a yoga mat, to roll out 90+ index cards with card names hand-written on them, instead—this is my Cosmic Mycelium deck so far.
I’m pleased to share the update that the first round of edits and redundancy review is complete!
33 cards are in a pile that will be cut from the deck. I’ve scrapped 5 of my original sub-themes (there was 9 to start) and added 3 new ones (ending with 7 sub-themes).
The newest iteration of the Cosmic Mycelium deck delves deeper into the heart of interconnectedness through three vital new threads. These additions explore how we personally embody and experience cosmic forces, illuminate the dynamic flows and pathways that guide transformation, and reveal the sacred alchemy that occurs when different energies merge and co-create.
By weaving these perspectives together, the deck creates a more complete tapestry of how we dance with universal forces—bridging personal experience with cosmic wisdom while illuminating the profound patterns that connect all things.
With these new sub-themes, I was also able to add 7 new cards—ideas I’ve been holding on to until I was ready to do a review. This brings my grand total after the edits to 65 cards which feels much more reasonable than 90+ 😅
I keep myself organized in Trello, so I’ve made a new board for this edit and have all of the new cards entered. I will need to flush out descriptions for the new ones, but I feel like I’m ready to seriously start considering some art. And I’ve got some new ideas… although I still don’t feel certain on if this will be a collaborative approach or if I’m going to tackle it myself, now that there are considerably less cards.
I have the style and colour palette already in mind, so I’m not starting blank. Perhaps I’ll prototype one from each of the sub-themes and see if that sparks any further clarity!
